I am a Juban (Jewish-Cuban); my Dad is the Cuban one. Even though my last name is Ido I am not Asian nor related to the Judge in the O.J. Simpson case. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, excluding a two-year stint in Hollywood, Florida (nothing like Hollywood, CA). I started writing short stories and poems that had to rhyme when I was about 6. I lead a pretty ordinary life as an only child until middle school when my brother was born. Through middle and high school, at Lakehill Preparatory, I continued writing creatively. There, I matured my skills as a poet, never knowing what I would do with them. When I graduated in 2005, I had no clue that there was any opportunity for me to continue my writing into a career, so I started SMU pre-law. After figuring out that I hated Law, I turned to trying on different majors; that is when I discovered advertising. I was accepted into the Temerlin Advertising Institute at SMU and then into their specialty program, Method Creative. With the instruction from Method I have honed into life as a Creative and have even been published in two issues of the International Advertising Magazine, ARCHIVE (6/2008 and 1/2009). Now, in mid-2009, I am ending one stanza and beginning a new one.
